jimrohnportraitJim Rohn, a legend and probably “the” best trainer and motivational speaker in the network marketing and personal development industry, passed away a few days ago on December 5, 2009.

I can still remember the first time I ever heard Jim Rohn speak.  A fellow network marketer and good friend of mine, James Burton, gave me a CD called Building Your Network Marketing Business.  I loved that CD so much that I gave one to each one of my directs and suggested that they do the same to their own directs.

Jim Rohn was the real deal.  He was authentic even was “authencity” wasn’t a buzz word.  Jim had a way with words and he was super funny.  He used stories and analogies to convey his messages of success and achievement in a way that you would never forget.  He was a master at teaching personal development philosophies and network marketing skills.

Jim would close his programs with the following statement,  “I go with you in all the experience that we’ve had. But I promise you this as we leave here: I will not leave you behind. I’ll take you with me in my thoughts and in my heart.”

This should tell you a lot about this man, this legend, this wonderful soul who touched so many lives.

I learned so much from Jim Rohn.  His books and CDs helped me get through some tough times in my business and also achieve great things in my business.  I will always include him in my list of people who helped me achieve success in this industry.

The death of Jim Rohn has definitely shaken the world.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all of his fans! He will be missed but his message will last forever!

Thanks for everything, Jim.
